GREETING FROM ELENA GÓMEZ ZAZURCA, FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Welcome to the main week of Diversario!
The festival—which sails from island to island throughout the year—docks from April 13th to 19th with a precious cargo of spices: diversity in bulk, inclusion in its rawest form, and plenty of fresh celebration.
This 7th edition carries a wonderful load to suit every taste: cinema, collage, comics, dance, audiovisual arts, juggling, classical and contemporary music, poetry, painting, swing, theater… and not just things to see, but things to do.
Diversario turns us into both spectators and creators: sign up for a workshop, stop by the street mural to pick up a paintbrush, and take part in the grand musical collage at the Casino.
Beyond the festivities, we will also make time for reflection and raising awareness. Diversario’s vital school awareness campaign is reaching further than ever, and we are continuing the conversation through the Encuentros Diversario (Diversario Gatherings), featuring professional training and the mapping of exciting new inclusive artistic projects.
And, of course, a gala premiere! The festival’s fourth original production, Instrucciones para montar un cabaret (Instructions for Staging a Cabaret), brings 19 artists together on stage amidst humor, music, pre-show jitters, and the thrill of live performance… will they manage to improvise a cabaret while inventing the rules as they go?
Let’s get diverse!
What is Diversario?
«Culture is for everyone and must be built with everyone»—this is the spirit that drives Diversario.
The festival is a meeting place—a cultural and artistic event that embraces all realities. Diversario is a unique, pioneering event that aims to make Huesca a benchmark for inclusive culture, addressing not only disability but also other groups at risk of exclusion.
Through Diversario, we seek to create a shared space where—fueled by imagination, reflection, critical thought, and dialogue—we open up pathways for cooperation and transformation through artistic creation.
The Diversario Inclusive Creativity Festival is organized by CADIS Huesca and is part of the «Huesca Más Inclusiva» (More Inclusive Huesca) project.
To shape DIVERSARIO, we rely on a working group comprising representatives from the fields of disability and dependency, culture, and the arts. We work hand-in-hand with Huesca’s cultural sector and engage external professionals—such as directors, curators, show directors, and artists from both the local area and the national or international stage—to shape each event dedicated to inclusive art and culture.
Embracing diversity since 2018
The Diversario Inclusive Creativity Festival was launched in 2018. Six editions have taken place since then, and it has been held annually since 2023.
The Diversario Festival is organized by CADIS Huesca and is part of the «Huesca Más Inclusiva» (More Inclusive Huesca) project. This initiative is promoted by the Huesca City Council, the «la Caixa» Foundation, the Government of Aragon, the Huesca Provincial Council, the Sobrarbe Region, the Sabiñánigo City Council, and CADIS Huesca, with the collaboration of Avanza.
Diversario 2026 features the collaboration of the «la Caixa» Foundation, Amazon, Meta Osca SL, Agropal, Seycob, Carnicería Miguel Escuer, Grupo Mas Farré, Xeryo, and Fabra. It also receives support from the Anselmo Pié Sopena Foundation, Buenaventura, Aixalanca, Nómada Producciones, TECMOLDE, Eboca, the Espiello International Ethnographic Documentary Festival of Sobrarbe, CPIFP Montearagón, CDAN, the Antonio Viñuales Gracia Professional Music Conservatory of Huesca, the Huesca School of Art, ESDA (School of Design of Aragon), Librería Anónima, Huesconswing Hepcats, the Alcoraz Foundation, and the City Councils of Almudévar, Ayerbe, and La Sotonera.
Amazon supports innovative initiatives that generate a positive impact on the community in the regions where it operates, such as Aragon.
